Le Faouët is a picturesque city in Western part of the Morbihan, on the southern slope of the « Montagnes Noires » in the land of « La Marion du Faouët and King Morvan ».
If you are looking for authenticity, a preserved region close to the ocean (30 km from the Atlantic ocean), a place to discover the identity of the « Haute Cornouaille », Le Faouët is the place to be.
Le Faouet is renowned for being an artistic center as many painters have settled there between 1860 and 1920.

  • 1.5 km from the Saint-Fiacre Chapel,
  • 3 km from the Sainte-Barbe Chapel,
  • 2 km from the Elle river valley,
  • 1 km from the Inam or Steir-Laër river valley,
  • 300 meters from the PR hiking trails,
  • 500 meters from the GR38 hiking trail,
  • 1 km from the Voie Verte (former railway road)
  • 800 meters from the pilgrims' way to Santiago de Compostela.
Which allows our guest to move around on foot or by bycicle

We are close to the major transit roads (Lorient - Roscoff, department road 769)
The bus line Lorient / Carhaix enable you to travel on a daily basis from the city center of Le Faouët.
The closest railwaistations are located in Lorient and Quimperlé.
The airports of Brest, Lorient and Quimper are at maximum an hours drive.
